A graduate of Orlando College (formerly known as Jones College) in Orlando, Florida, David Leoce holds a bachelor of science in business management and accounting. While attending Orlando College, he simultaneously took flying classes with Showalter Flying Service, ultimately earning his private pilot’s license and completing advanced instrument and commercial flight training. David Leoce also visited 13 European countries while an Orlando College student.
Shortly after graduating in 1976, David Leoce found employment as a revenue agent with the United States Treasury Department. After completing training in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, he accepted an assignment at a Treasury field office in Daytona Beach.
In 1982, Mr. Leoce completed additional training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia, and became a special agent with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Internal Revenue Service. His accomplishments in this position included investigating criminal activity in areas ranging from money laundering and tax violation to drug trafficking and fraud.
